tidbits from japan
finally managed to upload the contents of my ancient digital camera onto christopher. of course, 2 am is the best time to set about selecting, editing, and posting a handful of photos because, you know, sleep isn’t important or desired or anything …
the JR stop at harajuku
took the hamanasu overnight from tokyo —> sapporo: woke around 5 am to a blurry, grey-blue world outside, thinking, ah, i’m finally here in hokkaido and feeling so blissfully contented for it, especially after my first rough days in tokyo
furano, new prince hotel, where the world just felt unreal
train travelling through the shikoku countryside
itsukushima shrine on miyajima (easily one of my favourite places) (took so many photos of it) (it’s just so beautiful)
kuroshio sea at churaumi aquarium (surreal. so surreal.)
on taketomi: cycled like crazy that day and didn’t hydrate enough, but it was so satisfying. okinawa was the perfect way to wrap up my time in japan.
now all i need is a plan to get back to japan for a longer period of time … mm-hmm!
