we got lucky yesterday — oh-so-very lucky — in that all we lost was internet for a night.  classes were cancelled for two days (except now i’ve got to make them up; kind of deflates the thrill of that), and the internet was down, so i spent sandy:

-  baking cookies
-  playing shit tons of settlers of catan with the flatmates
-  reading/napping
-  attached to my phone
-  staring at post-its on my wall (i’ve been doing this a lot as a general rule)
-  obsessively charging everything in case the power went out
-  thinking about doing things but not actually doing much …

i can’t even imagine all the damage wreaked by this storm, and i’m incredibly grateful for everyone who risked his/her life through the storm to help/save people and for everyone who’s working to get this city up and running as soon as can be done.
